Shickel Corporation was selected to fabricate and install the structure and glass on this beautiful stair in Arlington, VA. The location of the stair on an upper floor of a finished building complicated the installation. The structure had to be fabricated in three different sections so each section would fit in an elevator. Once in place, the sections were connected with a full penetration weld. Shickel also had to work closely with the wood tread installers to install the glass after the wood was in place.
